Your tasks never leave your phone.

Local Pilot is a to-do app for iPhone. It has no user accounts and no server of its own. Everything you write, dictate or attach stays in the app’s storage on your device.

What we collect

Nothing. Local Pilot does not collect, receive, store or sell personal data from the app. There is no registration, no login, no email address, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking SDKs. In the App Store this is declared as Data Not Collected.

What stays on your device

• Tasks, notes, tags, reminders and their history
• Photos, videos and links you attach to a task
• The exact sentence you typed or dictated, kept alongside the task
• Your settings, themes and app icon choice

Deleting the app deletes all of it. If you use iCloud device backups, your tasks are part of that backup — that is Apple’s encrypted backup of your phone, not a service we operate.

The language model

Turning a sentence into a task is done by a language model that runs on your iPhone. The app downloads that model once, on first launch, and then works without a network connection. Your sentences are processed on the device and are never uploaded — there is no server for them to be uploaded to.

Speech recognition

Dictation uses Apple’s on-device speech recognition. Audio is transcribed locally and the recording is not kept after the text is produced.

Purchases

The lifetime unlock is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple. Apple processes the payment and tells the app whether the purchase is active. We never see your name, card details or billing address. Apple’s handling of that transaction is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

This website

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. It is served by our hosting provider, which keeps short-lived technical request logs (such as IP address and browser user agent) for security and operations. Links out to the App Store are governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and, since it collects no data at all, it does not knowingly process any information about them.

Your rights

Rights such as access, correction, export or erasure apply to data a company holds about you. We hold none. Your data is in your hands: everything the app knows is on your phone and you can edit or delete it there at any time.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
