The short version, in plain words.
These terms apply to the Local Pilot iPhone app and to this website, both provided by Local Pilot. By installing or using the app you accept them. Because the app is distributed through the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two disagree, Apple’s terms win.
Your licence
You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store terms. You may not resell it, rent it out, or attempt to extract, copy or repackage the app or the language model it downloads.
Free and paid
The app is free to download. The list, tags, widgets, reminders and the full task form are free without limits. The free tier limits how many sentences a day Pilot turns into tasks, attachments per task, history length, reminder options and themes, and keeps the dashboard locked.
The lifetime unlock is a single payment of $9.99 — not a subscription. It removes those limits for the Apple ID that bought it, on that account’s devices, for as long as the app exists. There is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel.
Payments and refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple, not by us. Refunds are therefore requested from Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com and are granted at Apple’s discretion under App Store policy. If you bought the unlock and something does not work as described, write to us first — we would rather fix it.
What the app does not do
So there are no surprises: there is no sync between devices, no iPad, Mac or Apple Watch app, no shared lists, no recurring tasks, no calendar integration and no export. The app needs an iPhone running iOS 18 or newer and about 3 GB of free space for the language model. On older iPhones the model runs more slowly.
Your responsibility for your data
Your tasks live on your phone and nowhere else. We have no copy and cannot restore anything. Keep device backups if your tasks matter to you.
The model is not perfect
Pilot reads your sentence and guesses a day, an hour and a priority. It usually gets it right, and sometimes it does not — every task can be edited by hand. Do not rely on the app alone for anything where a missed reminder causes real harm.
No warranty, limited liability
The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Local Pilot is not liable for indirect or consequential damage, lost data or missed deadlines arising from using the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, and nothing here affects consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
Changes and ending
These terms may be updated; the current version is always on this page with its date. You can end this agreement at any time by deleting the app. Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app and is not responsible for it, but as a third-party beneficiary of these terms Apple may enforce them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Poland, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your own country.
